Terms of Service

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Memberships & billing

Some features require a paid membership. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly or yearly) through our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. See our Refund & Subscription Policy for cancellation and refund details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• Copy, clone or imitate the Service, or use our name, logo or branding;
• Share, resell or redistribute paid content without permission;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• Upload harmful, abusive or infringing content.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as logs, photos and videos). You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely to operate the Service for you.

When you post a video you confirm that: it is yours to share; everyone shown in it agrees to it being shared; and it follows our rules, including that it contains no nudity or sexual content. Videos you share publicly can be seen by all members. Private videos are seen only by you, our moderators, and the followers you choose for each video, and you can remove a follower's access at any time. You can delete your videos at any time. Content that breaks these rules may be removed, and accounts may lose posting access.

Videos posted by members are the member's own content, not training advice from VORTEX or Train With Rico. If you watch or follow another member's video — in the community, a private share, or inside your workout plan — you do so at your own risk. The member who posted it does not take responsibility for your safety, for any injury, or for whether the exercises suit you. Train within your own limits and read our Medical Disclaimer before following any member's content.

Intellectual property

VORTEX. Your Fitness buddy — including the VORTEX name, the VORTEX logo and the JR monogram — together with all app software, screen designs, layouts, wording, videos, training programmes, workout and meal content we provide, belong to Train With Rico or to our licensors. They are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws around the world.

Your membership gives you permission to use the Service for your own personal fitness. It does not give you permission to copy it. You agree not to:

• reproduce, imitate or clone the Service, or any part of it, in another app, website or product;
• copy its look, layout, design, wording, videos, exercise descriptions or content, or use anything confusingly similar to "VORTEX", "VORTEX. Your Fitness buddy" or our logo;
• sell, licence, sub-licence or give other people access to your membership or to paid content;
• remove, hide or change our copyright, trademark or other ownership notices.

We may ask anyone who copies the Service to stop, and we will enforce these rights wherever we can — including by reporting a copy to the company hosting it or to the app store that lists it.

Health & fitness disclaimer

The Service provides general fitness and nutrition information only and is not medical advice. Please read our Medical Disclaimer. You use all training and nutrition guidance at your own risk.

Private chats & calls (MPC)

MPC lets members chat and make voice and video calls with each other. These conversations are private:

• Calls are never recorded, and we do not listen to or watch them. Only the people in a call can see and hear it.
• Chat messages are visible only to the members of that chat. No other member can read or join a private chat unless the member who started it invites them.
• We do not track what you say or write, who you call, when your calls happen or how long they last.

Translation & AI in chats and calls

MPC offers optional translation: chat messages can be translated automatically, and calls can show live translated subtitles and an optional translated AI voice. To provide this, short snippets of speech or text are processed by an AI service at the moment they are spoken or sent, and are then discarded — they are not stored as recordings. Translation features can be turned on or off by each member.

Reporting & moderation

Members can flag another member from a chat. A flag is reviewed, including by automated (AI) tools, and may be resolved with a warning or dismissed. Only the members involved in a report can see the chat content it refers to. Lives on VORTEX are checked automatically for nudity or sexual content and may be stopped automatically, with the reason shown to the member. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to suspension.

Third-party AI assistants

If you connect a third-party AI assistant to your account — for example Claude (provided by Anthropic), ChatGPT (provided by OpenAI) or Gemini (provided by Google) — that assistant is provided by another company, not by VORTEX. It can read your diet and workout records and, with your approval, save meal or workout plans to your account. Any answers, suggestions or plans it gives or saves are generated by that company's own AI. They are not advice from VORTEX, from Train With Rico or from your coach, and we cannot check or take responsibility for them. Do not treat the assistant's training, nutrition or health replies as guidance from us — check anything it tells you yourself, and follow our Health & fitness disclaimer above. We are also not responsible for how the assistant's provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) handles your data. You can disconnect the assistant at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for injury or loss arising from your use of fitness or nutrition guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
